Caroni Swamp Tour: Scarlet Ibis and Flamingos in Trinidad

Found on the west coast of Trinidad, Caroni Swamp is the largest mangrove forest in Trinidad and Tobago — home to the Scarlet Ibis, our national bird, along with caimans, herons, flamingos, and more. Join us as we cruise through the mangroves on a 2-and-a-half-hour tour, ending at an open lake where we watched the Scarlet Ibis and flamingos fly in to roost.
Seeing the flamingos take flight was the highlight for me. I'm not sure I'd ever seen one fly before, and it was breathtaking to witness.
