Here We Go Again: A 31-Day Movement Practice

Updated: Feb 5

It’s 2026, and I’m officially embarking on a brand-new challenge to share on my blog. This time, instead of my blog-every-day-for-a-month ritual, I’m committing to a movement challenge: 31 days of yoga and/or intentional movement, every single day.

Now, let’s manage expectations early. It will mostly be yoga, but I’m giving myself permission to switch things up when my body asks for something different. The goal is simple and doable: at least 15–20 minutes of yoga type movement each day. Whenever possible, I’ll share the link to the routine I followed that day so you can move right along with me. I will add them to this post so keep coming back here. 🥳

If you decide to join in (and I hope you do!), let me know in the comments how it’s going and which routines you’re loving. This will be more fun with company. Here’s to a January filled with movement… and a little bit of February too, since I’m starting on the 6th (giggle).

One important note—especially for future me: On the days when motivation is low, time feels tight, or life is simply doing the most, I’m leaning on the Never Zero concept, popularized by habit teacher Giovanni Dienstmann. The idea is beautifully simple: never let a day end with zero effort toward your goal. Five minutes of stretching counts. A few sun salutations count. Sitting on your mat and breathing counts.

The magic isn’t in perfection. It’s in continuity. Something is always better than nothing, and small actions keep the habit alive. This is my reminder (and maybe yours too) not to quit just because a day looks messy.

Alright then...31 days, here we go. 🧘🏾‍♀️✨

5th February 2026:

The day has arrived!! 🎉 31 days DONE, and let me tell you, completing a daily movement challenge during Carnival season is not for the faint of heart. Thankfully, it wasn’t Carnival week just yet, so I wasn’t squeezing yoga in between fetes every single day… but still, it was a feat.

Saturday 31st was hands down the toughest. Rise & Roast party in the morning, followed by the National Trust’s Carnival event, and then QRC fete—all on the same day. I was exhausted and, if I’m being honest, probably a little dehydrated too (🍻). But I stuck to it and got my routine in anyway. Being able to check off that day felt so good.

I’m ending this challenge feeling accomplished, stronger, and also grateful that I did it during the season. The movement and stretching definitely helped with being more nimble for wining down low at the fetes. So really, it was strategic 😉.

If you joined in, I hope you’re feeling proud too. And if you didn’t, no worries at all as this is a solid list of all 31 routines that I used that will be right here in this post. It’s there for those days when you don’t want to scroll, search, or overthink. Just pick one and get to the important part: moving your body.

Let me know if you tried any of the routines, or if you have a favourite. And now since I’m in the routine of doing it, I’m wondering if I should keep it going. Maybe turn this into something bigger.

100 days, perhaps? 👀✨
