Wellness Wednesdays: Press These 3 Acupressure Points Daily for a Healthy Life
This week's practice is a Qigong Basic Acupressure routine — a simple, seated practice rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine that you can do anywhere, including at your desk.
Acupressure works by applying pressure to specific points on the body to support health and wellbeing. This practice takes you through three points on the hands and wrists, each with a different benefit:
Center of Palm (PC8) — strengthens the internal organs
Connection between Thumb and Index Finger (LI4) — reduces headaches and toothaches
Three Fingers from Inner Wrist (PC6) — releases gas and supports the digestive system
Each point is pressed for 60 seconds with intentional breathing. The teacher demonstrates exactly where to press so there is no guesswork involved.
Do you practice acupressure regularly? Give this one a go and let me know how it felt in the comments!
